If you have been reading the blog for a while, you may have forgotten that weddings are mainly what we spend our time photographing.  With all of the holiday cheer, and magazine editorial buzz lately, I thought it might be good to get back to basics and show a wedding.

Elise and Dimitrios were one of my favorite *E* Sessions from last year and we were excited to get together again for their wedding.  The getting ready portion of the day happened at the Renaissance at North Hills.  I love shooting in the rooms there because there is so much light.  This wedding was a production of A Southern Soiree, so of course all of the visuals were first rate and the logistics were smooth like velvet.

The guys were lots of fun and provided entertainment throughout the day.

I’m a big fan of subtlety.  I so appreciate details that are elegant, but not screaming at you.  Elise’s dress fits that perfectly.

Completely diggin’ the off the wall socks on the grommsmen.

The below image was created just after we were asked by security to leave the grounds of the State Capital.  You can’t win them all.

Reception at North Ridge Country Club.  I forgot how insanely awesome their ballroom is.  Hands down one of the nicest in the area.  The beautiful flowers are brought to you by Kelly Odom.  Yes, the Kelly Odom.

Dimitrios and his family are  from Greece so  the wedding drew quite an international crowd.  I thought that the map was a great idea.  People used a pin to indicate from where they traveled.  There were lots of pins.

There were so many great details to photograph.  All of the place cards and stationery was produced by Paper Cafe.
