OK, camera geek alert!  I’m typically the very last person to get excited about a piece of photo equipment, but this thing is just plain pretty.  It’s a digital camera, but it’s made of actual metal, imagine that? (it’s love at first sight)

Oh, and did I mention that it’s simple, and has no zoom lens?  Why the heck would I be excited about that? Sharpness and speed.  The dedicated wide angle lens is made specifically for the sensor, so sharpness should rival most any other camera, plus, I would expect the focusing speed to be the bomb.

Admittedly, I have not actually used one of these yet.  They are not out in public and won’t be available for purchase until next spring.  For now I just enjoy looking at it.

One thing I do know about Fuji, when they make a professional grade camera, it’s usually pretty awesome, so I expect to be doing my testing and potential purchasing sometime in mid April.  If you want to check it out, go to the fujifilm web site.  Let me know if you’re interested in hearing about the results.
